January of 2017… Windsor, UK. Rainy day, long queue to get tickets for the Windsor Castle. When done, I stopped to take some pics with the main gate. It was still raining and someone with an umbrella passed in front of me just when I pressed the button. I took another pic, then walked to the visitor entrance to the Castle. When checking out the photos, I initially rejected the one that had the person with the umbrella passing and chose “the good one”. Later I realized an imperfect photo can be much better and give more information to the viewers, give them the feeling of the moment.
So here is my advice: always look for the “induced imperfection” and, when found, don’t avoid it!
